Spiritual Life

Paramount to all we do at SCCS is to mature young boys and girls in their relationship with Christ. We seek to do this by partnering with like-minded families in fulfilling the admonition of Deuteronomy 6:5-7. Daily, in every class, every subject, and every activity, our aim is to make the gospel clear to our students. Our greatest desire is to see each young person “love the LORD their God with all their heart…soul and … might.” At SCCS we teach all subjects from a  Christian World View which helps our students understand that God and our faith is seen and integral to every subject and area of life, not just Bible class. These values are accentuated by weekly chapels, spiritual life retreats, and service projects.

Additionally, we believe that spiritual growth extends from spiritual leadership and modeling. Every morning SCCS staff meet for devotions and prayer. Keeping students and their families in prayer, as well as our own hearts focused on our mission, helps SCCS to be a Philippians 2 community where fellowship and unity of the Spirit exists.

“These words, which I amncommanding you today, shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up.” Deuteronomy 6:6- NASB
