In an effort to extend our mission and further expand our school family, we are thrilled to offer our Independent Learning Program (ILP) for 2018-19.  Our desire is to partner with like-minded families to provide a support system and fulfill our school’s mission of “teaching minds and training hearts for God.”  As you seek to fulfill this mission in your own family through independent study, our ILP can provide opportunities for your child to further develop his/her academic and creative abilities, athletic skills, and spiritual growth.
 

Admissions Requirements:

Each family must complete a registration application and attend a family interview with the Administrator or Campus Pastor. All accompanying paperwork and fees must also be submitted. (Transcripts, Statement of Faith, Immunization Record, etc.) Families will also need to register for a FACTS account (online billing) to help with tuition and activities payments.

Each family will be required to meet with the ILP Director at least three times a year. 

Elementary ILP: K-6th:

This option is available for students in grades K-6 and includes the following features:

  • State filing and record keeping
  • Report Cards
  • Advisement meetings with ILP director
  • End of the Year Awards Ceremony/Graduation (6th)
  • School Social Events such as Talent Show, Carnival, Art Show, etc.
  • Weekly Elementary Chapel (mandatory)
  • Standardized testing
  • Access to SCCS Resource Center

Optional Opportunities for K-6 ILP Students:

  • Enrichment classes
  • (Music, Art, and Computer – please see attached for course descriptions)
  • School Field-Trips
  • Athletic teams
  • After-school Enrichment Courses
  • Elementary Band
  • School photos and ID cards
  • School yearbook

FEES:

SCCS Registration Fee:  $200 per student per year (non-refundable)
ILP Elementary Program Fee: (participation in programs, school events, state filing, record keeping, report cards, testing, etc.) - $35 per student per year


SECONDARY ILP: 7th-12th:

This option is available to students in grades 7-12 and includes the following:

  • State filing and record keeping
  • Report Cards
  • Advisement meetings with ILP director
  • Standardized Testing/PSAT
  • End of the Year Awards Ceremony/Graduations (8th/12th)
  • School Social Events such as Talent Show, Carnival, Art Show, Christmas Banquet, Spiritual Life Retreats, iServe, etc.
  • Weekly Secondary Chapel (mandatory)
  • Access to SCCS Resource Center

Optional Opportunities for 7-12 ILP Students: 

(Some events include an additional cost. Fees may vary.)

  • Christmas/Spring Concerts
  • School photos and ID cards
  • School yearbook
  • Clubs (CSF, FCA, etc.)
  • Athletic teams (7th-8th)
  • CIF sports teams (9th-12th)
  • Academic and elective courses

(There are some pre-requisites and specific criteria in order to participate in some events.)


FEES:

SCCS Registration: $200 per student per year (non-refundable)
ILP High School Program Fee: $125 per student per year


ACADEMIC COURSES:

*Students will be limited to two, on-campus courses.
Year-Long Course: $2000
Semester-Long Course: $1000
Textbooks will be purchased separately.|
Technology Fee: (applies depending on which classes are chosen): $400
Students will receive a school iPad that they will use for the duration of their time as an enrolled student.
