Service
Opportunities at SCCS
Many additional service
opportunities are available during the school year with PTF, the
athletic teams, iServe, CSF, and a few school wide activities.
Our goal is to create an attitude of serving others in our
students and we know two of the most effective methods to
develop that attitude is with example and experience. You
are invited to become involved! |

ATHLETIC COMMITTEE
All parents, at all levels, are welcome to join the new
Athletic Committee. If you would like to be part of the future
of SCCS Athletics e-mail
aguilar@sccs.cc. Meetings for this new committee have already
started but we welcome anyone who would like to be involved.
VOLUNTEERS
With Spring Sports in all levels, we will need
volunteers like team mom’s , drivers for carpool, people to run
scoreboard and scorebooks, linesmen, ticket takers, etc. With
parents helping out in these areas, a huge burden is lifted off
the coaches so they are able to concentrate on the athletes.
Please talk to your kid's coach to see where you can help.
THANK YOU FROM THE VARSITY CHEER
SQUAD
Varsity Cheer would
like to thank all those who participated in the SCV Food Pantry
food drive. This was specifically targeted to collect items for
kids. The cheer squad joined the Food Pantry in their goal that
'no child should go to bed hungry in the Santa Clarita Valley'.
We are living in a time of unexpected need and the cheer squad
wants everyone to know they appreciate the great support of this
event.

RIVER
RALLY
CLEAN-UP |
The City of Santa Clarita
had their annual River Rally
Clean up. SCCS sent a group to participate in this event.
The date was Saturday , September 11th, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00.
For more information go to
www.santa-clarita.com
. This
was
a great way for us to participate in our community and also get
community service credit for college and scholarship
applications. We have 2 teachers that went to supervise
and we hoped to clean the river area outside our back fence.
