PARENT TEACHER FELLOWSHIP

Introduction

The PTF of Santa Clarita Christian School (SCCS) is comprised of volunteer parents who desire to serve the faculty and students in a way that honors our Lord Jesus Christ. Annually, the PTF raises money to provide school-wide enhancements that the yearly tuitions do not cover. The PTF takes seriously the biblical admonition to be good stewards of all funds and desires to wisely invest these monies back into the administrators, teachers, and students of SCCS. We believe that the PTF best serves the SCCS families by providing benefits to the current student body that add to the student life, encourage the teachers, and pay for the ongoing school traditions. The PTF champions SCCS in many ways through: Fundraising Financial Contributions Support to Faculty and Staff Social Events Encouragement and support to classrooms through Room Moms/Dads Student Development

The PTF meets monthly to discuss current school issues, organize upcoming activities, supervise volunteer helpers, etc. The PTF would appreciate and welcome any new parents who are willing to become a part of a wonderful support group for SCCS and the faculty/staff.

If attending the monthly PTF meetings is NOT a possibility for you, parents may also sign up on one or more of the volunteer sheets on ORIENTATION DAY. These sign-up sheets are located on tables inside the conference center/gym. There are separate volunteer sheets for the various activities that the PTF organizes throughout the year:

• Magazine Drive/Bounce House Day
• Grandparent’s Day
• Thanksgiving Feast
• Teacher Luncheons (5 separate dates)
• Year-End Party (1st-5th grade)

Below is a list of committees and the current coordinator. This year we have *three areas of need* and would welcome volunteer parents to learn more about how they can help support SCCS through these PTF events. These areas of need are listed at the bottom of the list with an (*).

• *Social Event fundraising—(this is a ‘light-weight’ commitment and can be done mostly from home)
• *Gift Coordinator—(this is a twice a year commitment and can be done mostly from home)
