The State of California does not
approve or "accredit" schools.
However, other private organizations
do offer accreditation programs that
benefit the school through
self-study and evaluation by outside
professional educators.
The main accreditation agency on the
West Coast for public and private
schools is the Western Association
of Schools and Colleges (WASC). SCCS
is accredited by WASC and has a
fully developed Action Plan for
school growth and improvement.
The credits
earned at SCCS are accepted by other
schools, colleges, and universities
without any difficulty.
SCCS totally
complies with all state and local
requirements and is a completely
recognized and registered school in
the state of California.
Santa Clarita
Christian School considers the
faculty to be the most important
ingredient in operating a successful
school. These individuals are the
ones who spend hours each day with
the students, investing their
knowledge, understanding, and heart
for God.
We diligently search for teachers
who are trained to be professionals,
personally committed to Christ, and
dedicated to academic excellence.

For the teachers at SCCS, education
cannot be just a job, but a calling
from God to train young people in
the Christian school setting.
All faculty members at SCCS have
completed their college degrees,
with several having earned Masters
Degrees or other advanced degrees.
Even though credentials do not
guarantee that a teacher will be
effective, the certification and
credentialing programs are valuable
for training and professional
growth. SCCS provides educational
grants to the faculty to pursue
state credentials, a Masters Degree,
or other advanced degrees. After
teachers are hired, they are given
additional training by the school
administration and annually
evaluated so that they are prepared
to meet SCCS expectations.
You as parents can be assured that
your children are being taught by
teachers who love the Lord, who are
properly trained, and who are
carefully evaluated on a regular
basis so that the students here can
receive a quality Christian
education. |
